Seasonal Airbnb Photography

Once, I was watching a YouTube video about optimizing an Airbnb listing, and I learned a simple yet often overlooked tip: if your property is located in a place with seasonality, you must have a seasonal set of pictures.

Last week, during a snowstorm at one of my properties, I asked my photographer friend to join me and take a few pictures of the house in the snow.

Is there any difference?

Check the snapshot below. I searched for Lake Harmony on Airbnb and compared how my listing stands out against others.

Keep in mind, it’s December, and everyone associates winter with snow.

In your opinion, which pictures attract more attention: the ones with snow or those showing summer or fall scenes?

My Process for Seasonal Pictures

I deleted all pictures from summer, fall, and spring from the listing. I also created a separate folder on my Google Drive for each season. The goal is to update the pictures every season with relevant images.

My hypothesis is that this approach will generate more views, clicks, and bookings.

By the way, since updating the pictures on my listing last week, I already received a booking for more than 15 days. Professional photography is starting to pay off almost immediately!
